WEEK -2 RESEARCH AND EXPERIMENT.

Week 2 (research on theme and experimentation)

we selected the concept and did brief research on it.
We experimented a few designs of us in different fabrics..

category and theme research:

Category- performance.

YEAR-2

Week--1

First module in L5 was the options portfolio, we had to select any 3 from amongst the 12 options.

The 3 options selected by me were-

1. Corsetry

2. Design for events

3. Graphic design

 

 

We started with the basic of the corsetry.

first one was 4 panel princess corset,and bra top corset.

WEEK-5 (DESIGN DEVELOPMENT)

WEEK 5

  Design development.From the trend boards , we picked inspirations and made our designs.  To make our Dds more interactive we stuck pictures of our inspiration and also wrote down the detailing.

WEEK-4 (TREND FORECASTING)

WEEK 4

We were to design a collection for a brand we first had to do a trend forecast. We had to research and select 5 forecast which would be a mixture of SS14 and AW13 and make forecast boards which included pictures related to fashion but also everything related to the forecast.

Once our boards were made we had to select 1 forecast which we wanted to work on for our collection. The final selected forecast was Safari.

In our second week we were given 6 international and 3 Indian brands to research on. The brands were as follows:

1-BURBERRY 2-ETRO 3-CANALI 4-ERMENEGILDO ZEGNA 5-PAUL SMITH 

6-HUGO BOSS 7-BOMBAY HIGH 8-LOUIS PHILIPPE 9-PARK AVENUE

We then had to make a research file using both primary and secondary research. We visited palladium to check the brands. Not many stores allowed us to click pictures but some were kind enough to let us click a few pictures of the store.
